Appointments, cancellations and no-shows
We kindly request at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations, changes, or missed appointments made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time will result in the loss of your deposit, unless otherwise required by law. Cancellation fees and deposits can be used in business policies, but they should be clearly disclosed and fair under Australian Consumer Law.
Clients who do not attend their appointment will forfeit their deposit. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in a 50% deposit being required for future bookings.
Deposits
A deposit is required to secure your booking. Deposits are applied towards your appointment total on the day. Deposits are non-refundable where the cancellation or rescheduling policy is not met, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
Consultations
Consultations are designed to assess your skin, discuss your concerns, and create an appropriate treatment plan. Your consultation fee is $50 and is redeemable on product purchases or appointments at Desira Dermal.
Medical information and disclosure
Accurate disclosure of relevant medical information, current medications, allergies, and skin conditions is essential to help us assess treatment suitability and provide services safely. If you are unsure whether a treatment is suitable for you, please book a consultation before proceeding. Health service providers should collect information needed to assess suitability and safety, especially where sensitive health information is involved.
We reserve the right to refuse or postpone treatment where it is considered unsuitable, unsafe, or where sufficient medical information has not been provided. This kind of suitability-based qualification is consistent with clinical safety practice in aesthetic and health settings.
Treatments, suitability and results
All treatments are subject to consultation, assessment, and suitability. Recommendations are based on your skin condition, concerns, medical history, and treatment goals at the time of your appointment.
Individual results vary from person to person and no particular outcome can be guaranteed. A course of treatments, home care, and ongoing review may be recommended to support the best possible results.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase and may be redeemed for treatments or products at Desira Dermal in Perth, Western Australia. Vouchers may be used across multiple visits until the full value has been used. Most Australian gift cards and vouchers must be valid for at least 3 years, and the expiry date must be clearly shown.
If the selected treatment or product exceeds the voucher value, the remaining balance must be paid at the time of purchase or appointment. If the total is less than the voucher value, the remaining balance will stay available until the expiry date.
Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash, except where required under Australian Consumer Law. No post-purchase fees, including administration or balance enquiry fees, will reduce the value of the voucher. Australian law generally prevents post-purchase fees from reducing the value of covered gift cards and vouchers.
The voucher code must be quoted at the time of booking and presented at the clinic where requested. Gift vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged after purchase except where required by law, and Desira Dermal reserves the right to cancel a voucher where fraud, misuse, or unauthorised activity is suspected.
Products and consumer rights
We do not offer refunds for change of mind on products or services, including services already provided. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Product and service issues will be managed in accordance with Australian Consumer Law, including where a repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy is required by law. Consumers are entitled to remedies where goods or services do not meet consumer guarantees, and businesses cannot contract out of those rights.
Payments
We accept Eftpos, Visa, MasterCard, and Cash. All appointments performed on the day of treatment must be paid in full on that day unless otherwise arranged.
Social media and clinic content
From time to time, Desira Dermal may share educational, promotional, or behind the scenes content across its website and social media platforms. No identifiable client images, videos, or treatment information will be shared without your prior consent. If consent is provided, it may be withdrawn at any time by contacting Desira Dermal in writing. OAIC guidance says health service providers should obtain appropriate consent before collecting, using, or disclosing patient images, and it is good practice even where an image may be de-identified.
